Historic Scotland is an executive agency of the Scottish Government responsible for discharging the Scottish Ministers’ functions in relation to the protection and preservation of Scotland’s built heritage and for advising them on built heritage policy. It also promotes the understanding and enjoyment of the built heritage on behalf of the Scottish Government.
