Located on the upper level of Kilsyth Library, the museum features a number of small displays covering local history. Themes include Kilsyth’s industrial heritage, the First World War, the Battle of Kilsyth and the Antonine Wall. Artefacts on display include Roman pottery, a selection of large nails and a cast of an altar. The museum and library offers a local studies research area, with a good archive of local maps and photographs, as well as microfilm of local censuses and other sources. Visitors should note that the museum is only accessible via stairs, as there is currently no lift to the upper level.
