Altar to Jupiter and Victory, Auchendavy
This sandstone altar was found in a pit to the south-west of the Roman fort at Auchendavy. The inscription reads "To Jupiter Best (and) greatest (and) to Victorious Victory, for the safekeeping of our Emperor and that of his own family, Marcus Cocceius Firmus, centurion of the Second Augustan Legion". It is 90 cm high by 36cm wide and 31 cm deep.
