School trips

Planning a visit to the Antonine Wall with your class? Find out our tips to help you plan your trip.

The Antonine Wall is a great resource for outdoor learning. It can help improve physical and mental health and get pupils close to nature as you investigate Scotland’s Roman past together.

Hazard information sheets are available to download below for the sections of the Antonine Wall that are most accessible for a school or learning group visit. They are intended as a preparatory tool and do not replace a teacher's own risk assessment. It is the responsibility of the teacher/group leader to complete a risk assessment prior to any site visit.
